Why We Exist

Rent in Chi-Town was created out of frustration. When people move to Chicago — or move within Chicago — they get bombarded with rent estimates, listing photos, and walkability scores. What they don't get is the thing that actually matters: what it's like to live somewhere.

The big platforms don't tell you that parking on Milwaukee Ave is a nightmare, that Uptown has the North Side's best underrated ramen spot, or that the difference between living one block east or one block west in Logan Square means everything for your commute.

We fill that gap. Deep neighborhood profiles written at street level, honest monthly rent data, and a real Chicago perspective built by people who actually live here.
